Elections Nova Scotia – A provincial general election is underway in Nova Scotia. Election day will be Tuesday, November 26, 2024, but voters have several options to vote early.
To be eligible to vote in the 42nd Provincial General Election (PGE), you must be 18 years of age or older on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, a Canadian citizen, have lived in Nova Scotia since April 27, 2024.
There are many voting options in this election. Before election day, voters in Nova Scotia can vote where and when they want to at any voting location in the province. Voters in Nova Scotia can also vote remotely by applying to vote by mail using a write-in ballot. On election day, voters can vote at their assigned voting location or the returning office in their electoral district.
Registered voters will get a personalized voters information card (VIC) mailed to them during the election. The VIC provides information on the closest voting locations. If eligible voters are not yet on the Nova Scotia list of electors, they are encouraged to get registered soon or register when they go to vote.
